However, we know that there are a variety of reasons that customers would want to prevent their users from doing so. For example, turning recovery information off can help customers stay compliant with local privacy regulations, such as GDPR. Or admins can opt to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/a\/answer\/3033063\">add recovery information themselves<\/a>. This update gives admins the control to decide which configuration makes the most sense for their users.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Getting started<\/h3>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Admins:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>These settings\u00a0 can be configured\u00a0 at the OU and group level in the Admin console at <i>Security &gt; Account Recovery &gt; Recovery information<\/i>.
